South Explorer Invites: Open Call

Van 2 tot en met 8 november laten drie kunstenaars van Rotterdam Zuid hun werk over klimaat zien in INTRO bij De Hillevliet.

Ga met elkaar in gesprek, beleef de kunst en ontdek hoe klimaat een onderwerp is van ons allemaal. Deel je zorgen over het klimaat bij de Praatpaal van Camie Bonger, werk samen aan het Klimaatkleed van Malou Sumah en ontdek de DIY-warmtepanelen van Studio C.A.R.E.

PROGRAMMA

De Klimaatexpo is doorlopend te bezoeken. Daarnaast zijn er de volgende activiteiten:

Maandag 2 november | 18:00–20:00 | Opening

Samen met Malou Sumah werken aan Het Klimaatkleed: van restjes naar verhalen.

Zaterdag 7 november | 13:00–14:00 | Praatpaal Praatmaar met Camie Bonger

Ga in gesprek over klimaat en deel je zorgen en ideeën.

Zondag 8 november | 13:00–15:00 | Workshop warmtepanelen met Studio C.A.R.E.

De South Explorer Klimaatexpo is in samenwerking met de Gemeente Rotterdam, Klimaatweek, INTRO en De Hillevliet.

From 2 to 8 November, three artists from Rotterdam South will present their work on climate at INTRO in De Hillevliet.

Talk with each other, experience the art and discover how climate is something that concerns us all. Share your concerns about the climate at Cami Bongers’ Praatpaal, collaborate on Malou Sumah’s Climate Blanket, and discover the DIY heat panels by Studio C.A.R.E.

PROGRAMME

The Climate Expo is open to visitors throughout the week.
In addition, the following activities will take place:

Het Klimaatkleed: Van restjes naar verhalen met Malou Sumah
Malou Sumah is kunstenaar met een liefde voor textiel met verhalen. Die verhalen kunnen zitten in de stof zelf, maar ook in de betekenis die wij eraan geven.

Malou Sumah is an artist with a love for textiles that carry stories. These stories can be found in the fabric itself, but also in the meanings we attach to it.

DIY Warmtepanelen expo en workshop van Studio C.A.R.E.

Studio C.A.R.E. is een Rotterdamse ontwerpstudio op het snijvlak van kunst, interieurontwerp en architectuur, onder leiding van Christine van Meegen en Sebastian Kubersky. Sinds de oprichting in 2015 kenmerkt de studio zich door een radicale en speelse benadering van ruimte. Van Curated Catastrophes en Infinite Dinners tot de modulaire interieurlijn ROSy en circulaire, co-creatieve projecten in de wijk: elk project daagt conventies uit en verlegt grenzen. Zo ontstaan ervaringen die mensen uitnodigen om een diepere verbinding aan te gaan met hun omgeving.

Studio C.A.R.E. is a Rotterdam-based design studio working at the intersection of art, interior design and architecture, led by Christine van Meegen and Sebastian Kubersky. Since its founding in 2015, the studio has been characterised by a radical and playful approach to space. From Curated Catastrophes and Infinite Dinners to the modular interior collection ROSy and circular, co-creative neighbourhood projects, each project challenges conventions and pushes boundaries. The resulting experiences invite people to develop a deeper connection with their surroundings.

De Praatpaal met Camie Bonger:

Camie Bonger raakt harten en maakt het onderbewuste bewust. Ze noemt zichzelf geen ‘artist’, maar een Heartist. Met haar werk hoopt ze mensen de kracht in zichzelf weer te laten voelen en hen te inspireren het leven te leiden dat écht voor hen bedoeld is.

Haar werk brengt KinderPraatPaal Praatshows en Lichtgedichten tot leven. In deze vormen komt ze helemaal tot haar recht en doet ze wat ze het allerliefste doet: mensen raken, verbinden en in hun kracht zetten.

Camie Bonger touches hearts and brings the unconscious into awareness. She doesn't call herself an ‘artist’, but a Heartist. Through her work, she hopes to help people reconnect with their inner strength and inspire them to live the life that is truly meant for them.

Her work brings the KinderPraatPaal Talk Shows and Light Poems to life. These are the forms in which she truly comes into her own, doing what she loves most: touching people, bringing them together and empowering them.
